Shooting along the coast on Highway 1 is one of my favorites. Our beach shoot started off early in the morning with ideal overcast weather. I captured some images in the hight of the high tide on the coast in Pacifica, California. Thanks to an awesome crew @fboulaire & @zachographie and everyones’ eye for creative details the shoot was a lot of fun and we got these images! While on location, we had the pleasure to encounter an old school surf board maker working from his workshop along the beach. We tried to get his portrait too but he was a little shy, humble, or just didn’t like my camera 🙂
We just mailed a promo card with these images that we’re happy to share, and add to our portfolio.
After an awesome stop-motion shoot with Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer and her nineteen top executives last week, I felt inspired about the amazing advancements with stop motion. While geeking out last Saturday with my buddies we decided to explore the possibilities using drones and Pixel Stick. We quickly crashed the drone (from 20ft in the air, it wasn’t too bad) so continued only with the Stick. Although we are just emerging into this new creative outlet I am loving it and can’t wait to take my imagery to a new level – imagine the possibilities! ..and while you imagine, use the visuals from the Cirque du Soleil video below using drones to fuel your own inspiration.
P.S: The drone is now repaired and ready to go for new adventures.
