Here is my latest editorial photos taken for Diablo Magazine. It features Michael Bondi, a metal worker in the east bay. His work combines the artistic tradition of Italian forged-metal work with more contemporary industrial machinery and methods. South Bay Editorial Portrait Photographer He and his co-workers create gorgeous and unique metal pieces, such as stairway railings and metal gates.
It was a great opportunity to meet Michael and learn more about his craft. You can check out his work and learn more about the process on their Facebook page. It’s worth checking out!
Living in California certainly prompts the question from out-of-state visitors, “Have you met a celebrity?.” While I have not met A-list celebrities, like Brad Pitt or Meryl Streep (yet!). I have been on a Hollywood set before. SF Celebrity Portrait Photographer
Some time ago, I had the opportunity to shoot actors on set for Michael Rohrbaugh’s short film, The Perfect Gentleman. The film won numerous awards and was shown at the Newport Film Festival, The Ivy League, Sedona, and Rochester International. You can watch the film here.
Love Beer? Well you might want to talk to Consultant à la Bière, Rich Higgins. He is the seventh person in the world to be certified as a master cicerone. He now works as a consultant for restaurants and events – advising on the best beverages (beer, wine, etc) to compliment meals. SF Editorial Portrait Photographer Marc Olivier Le Blanc
I took this image for Draft Magazine, a publication for the beer fan in your life. The magazine keeps you up to date on any new trends in the industry as well as highlighting great breweries. The article that I took photos for was a feature on Higgins. It’s a great read if you have the time! I know who to call if I want recommendations for new beer. 🙂 I’m happy to add this image to my portfolio.

I recently had a great shoot in my studio in the Mission district (of San Francisco). My producer Lisa Vortman and stylist & HMU, Tacha Scott created the idea for a denim jean themed photo shoot. SF commercial portrait photographer
We had the beautiful Erin Darcel Coleman, Nicole Renee and Maylen as our models for the day. These ladies were a delight to work with and I hope to continue working with them for future shoots.
Behind the scenes, I had the help of my photo assistants, Francois Boulaire and Hugo Babey. We also had Kirsten Voss doing some behind-the-scenes video of the production. Below you can find a few images from the shoot and the video we produced!
I cannot wait to add these images to my portfolio.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot my friends, Michelle Stauffer and Lindsay Upson in the yurts where they were living in Novato. SF editorial portrait photographer
Michelle Stauffer has been a producer for the 70 Degrees West and writer for the Huffington Post. The 70 Degrees Project is especially intriguing. She teamed up with photographer, Justin Lewis, to create “multimedia documentary project that will follow this line to illustrate the impact our modern world has on eight unique regions and the people who depend upon the stability of the fragile environments.”
Lindsay Upson is a freelance photographer and stylist living in the bay area that specializes in portraits, children, and travel. In 2013, her work was published in PDN’s March issue for the World in Focus Photography Contest.
What are Yurts? Good question. A Yurt is a portable, round tent traditionally from Central Asia. This is a great option for living off the grid.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to work with model, Michael, at my studio in the Mission district of San Francisco. He has that rugged handsome look, similar to Sir Sean Connery, except you can see he is very much young at heart (in his eyes). He was a great subject and wonderful to work with! model te Ist shoot san
It was a fairly quick shoot with a few outfit changes. We went from business formal to more casual. For the shoot, I had the help of my photo assistant, Marine Terlizzi. I hope to work with Michael again in the future.
I can’t wait to add these portraits to my portfolio.
I recently had the opportunity to shoot the cover of Minnesota Alumni’s Winter issue. The magazine featured robot-builder, Matt Oehrlein. He is the co-founder of Megabots inc. His company wants to create the sports league of the future – giant fighting robots. In a nutshell, It’s real-life Pacific Rim. Editorial Environmental Portrait Photographer
Last year, they presented Mark I at the New York Comic Con Festival. While the robot was not fully built, he still towered over his human companions at a height of 15 feet and weighed around 15,000 lbs.
It was an honor to meet this gentleman and can’t wait to see how their company evolves. I’m excited to add these images to my portfolio.
